Sustainable Energy
Conference
for a Europe of the Regions
Action-conference with possible solutions for the regions of Europe.
How to realize energy souvereignty
Many
regions
in
Europa
suffer
the
exploitation
of
energy
sources
from
their
area.
Energy-companies
or
governments
do
not-,
or
hardly,
compensate the exploitation which has been going on for many years.
The
European
Free
Alliance
(EFA,
www.e-f-a.org
)
represents
more
than
40
European
regions
from
20
different
countries
and
has
seats
in
the
EU
parliament.
Supported
by
several
regional
parties
the
EFA
has
taken
the
initiative
for
an
independent
research
on
most
issues
dealing
with
the
development
and
implementation
of
sustainable
energy
sources.
This
initiative
was
linked
with
funding
from
the
OSF
(Onafhankelijke
Senaats
Fractie)
and
executed
by
the
University
of
Twente.
As
EFA
member
is
was
the
FNP
who
asked
its
energy
workgroup
to
organise
the
first
Sustainable Energy Conference. This is also why the conference took place in Leeuwarden, the capital of Fryslân.
THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE CONFERENCE
The conference was a great success !
Several
experts
presented
and
shared
their
knowledge
for
an
audience
of
over
70
other
experts,
representatives
from
several
regions
and
participants from Universities, parties, institutes, energy co-operations and other organisations.
The output of the conference
The

of
the

As
this
was
an
ACTION-conference
the

ended
with
a
request
to
the
participants
to
extract
from
available
information
and
discussion-output
proposals
for
actions
and
projects.
Also
proposals
for
execution:

This
pile
of
information
will
be
transferred to sets of plans and document for all who participated, organisations(in regions) and people who execute.
Also
